THE COMPETITION
This competition is open to any singer age 14 to 18 on 1 September 2023 who is resident or attending any school within a 50 mile radius of Taunton.
Previous winners, if eligible, may enter but are limited to winning this competition only twice.
PROGRAMME
A programme if 10-12 minutes maximum should be prepared preferably incorporating different periods and genres or other diversities of styles and presentation. Movement is permitted but not the use of costume or props.

2nd £75
3rd £35
The winning performer will receive the Taunton Young Music Theatre Singer Cup.
ENTRY FEE
The non-refundable entry fee is £20. Any queries please contact Linda Marshall Cole.
ENTRIES
Enter no later than Monday 5th February 2024.
Following receipt of your entry you will be contacted by the competition secretary Linda Marshall Cole to provide a programme of performance, biographical details and a photograph.
ADJUDICATOR
The adjudicator will be Emma Brain-Gabbott
OFFICIAL ACCOMPANIST
An official accompanist will be available should you need one at an additional charge.
CLOSING DATE
Monday 5th February 2024
ON THE DAY
Audience members admitted at a cost of £8. Performers, young people, teachers and accompanists will be admitted free.
In addition competitors are welcome to enter for the Taunton Young Singer competition which will be held on the same day.
Taunton Festival of the Arts will hold entry and competition data only until the competition is completed after which it will be deleted from the Festival records.
