Taunton Festival of the Arts is pleased to work with several other local groups. Many of our associates are kind enough to give our competition winners more opportunities to perform, supporting our talented young people.

Milverton Choral Society host a Young Professionals concert. The next concert will be held on 9th February 2025. More information about this and other performances can be found on their website .

The Milverton Concert Society has been presenting top quality professional concerts since 1987 in the beautiful setting of St Michael’s church in Milverton. Over the years The Milverton Concert Society has been host to many distinguished chamber musicians, some well established, others just starting their careers. They are also committed to developing musical educational links with local schools, funding workshops by visiting professional musicians and offering children the chance to appreciate top quality music performed in their school.

Amici is a chamber choir based in Taunton, with around 40 singers. Amici was founded in 1994 by the late Dr John Cole. The choir is now co-directed by Andrew Trewhella and Gareth Dayus-Jones and is considered Somerset’s premier chamber choir.

The Taunton Association of Performing Arts (TAPA) represents the collective interests of community arts groups and organisations in and around the area.  TAPA plays an active role advising and informing local arts planning and developments. A calendar of events is available on their website here

St John the Evangelist Parish Church in Taunton hosts a lunchtime concert on the second Friday of each month during the season. Of the concerts performed, one was “The Taunton Festival Singers” which included present winners and runners-up from the young singers' competitions held as a part of the music festival.

The Ronald Tickner Educational Trust was founded by Ronald Tickner who was a tireless supporter of and accompanist at our Festival. The Trust was formed in 2000 to commemorate Ron Tickner’s legacy of encouraging young musicians and it exists to advance the study of music by the provision of bursaries to organists or collaborative pianists from Somerset.
